I love the composition, even with centre child with her back turned, it adds to the stories that I have in my head, and creates a tension, or dynamic that would otherwise be missing.
Excellent DOF, superb light, I'm assuming that it was cloudy but bright
with light bouncing around all over the place, especially the light coming up off of the roof to illuminate the faces and his torso.
Love it!!
Love the whole set of three. Job done.
Mummy Burn must be over the moon with these.

Vast dispositions.
I have to admit, I didn't get the reference of "Mummy Burn" until I read
your comment.
(Burn, you know I'm slow)
United Kingdom snapped the light on.
What is DOF (demension of focus?)
I lack professionalism and formal teachings.
Yeah, the day was bright but the light was "fuzzed"
due to clouds and their overcast... it was late in the afternoon
and I was fighting with the camera on limited time.
Gary, I appreciate your comments like you wouldn't believe.
Makes me both vindicated and suddenly aware.

TOTALY brilliant, I don'nt know if that's even a word, but it should be and it probably sums up DOF better than the truth.
which is "Depth Of Field.
This is what is acceptably sharp or in focus within your chosen scene. you can choose for your self what this may be by changing the size of the aperture opening, this is measured in F stops, or F numbers.shown as f/2.5 or f.22, and will effect the area in front of and behind the area upon which you have focused. Basically the smaller the number the shallower the Depth Of Field and bigger the number, the greater the Depth Of Field. Check out the camera details above and you can see that the camera set itself to F/8.0,(middle range) presumably because it was tring to keep all three people in focus.
Having said all of this I have no idea if or how your own camera does this, but I am sure, that a quick browse through the manuel will point you in the right direction.
I urge you to do this and have a play, it really can make a difference to your photography. (eventually
Sorry its taken awhile to get back to you, life is getting busy
